What’s you’re favourite thing about yourself?
My favourite thing about myself is probably my stubbornness (lol) At times it can get in the way but when it comes to me creating and expressing myself it helps me stick to my ideas, especially the ones i second guess. It keeps me from backing out of those ideas and those same ones always turn out to be my best!
How do you express yourself through creativity?
I express my creativity through make up, fashion, filmmaking and writing! I've been playing in make up since forever and fashion has been something i enjoyed but as i’m getting older i’m taking it more seriously as a channel for my self expression like make up. With writing this is something that became apart of my expression of when i just started high school and has really been something i've got to grow with and i still am. I'm currently in school and trying to work in the filmmaking industry where i can put my writing skills to use. Along with learning about directing and anything else that can help me along the way.
The importance of self expression to you?
Self expression is extremely important to me because its apart of my self care! I’m constantly trying to find ways to reinvent my look or thinking of new things to use in my make up! Self expression helps me build my confidence and helps me understand that there really aren't any limits to it.
What are your looks inspired by?
I get inspiration from a lot of places. Sometimes its a book I read or character on a show or colours that i like! Other times i'll brainstorm some ideas and look to others for inspiration. There's so many creative make up artist, its wild! It's fun piecing things together that have no correlation to each other to make something completely new!
What interests you about film making?
The directing and writing! I'm still learning about it all but those two things are what really stuck with me. I always loved how easy it is to get lost in the world that's created for us in a film. So that really is what gives me inspiration to pursue it!
What are you watching at the moment?
At the moment i've been watching a lot of horror and paranormal stuff because halloween is coming up. But besides that I've finished watching the movie 20th Century Women, I enjoyed it so much and I think its my favourite film i've seen this year. I also started the series Living With Yourself with Paul Rudd and i think its gonna be really great!
What are you listening to at the moment?
Lately, i haven't been listening to a lot of music but the few times i did i listened to BbyMutha, Willow Smith, and Brittany Howard's album.
What change do you hope to see in the world in the next 5 years?
I hope to see more kindness and compassion in the world. I hope to see a lot change from me and i also just want to see my friends accomplishing their goals.
