Arezü
Arezü tells the story
of a feminine wardrobe
from its first chapter,
and tells it slowly,
so that every hand
and mind involved in
its creation is honoured.
This collection of polaroids has us envious of long days in Paris, travelling with nothing but ethical silks & mules. Featuring Laura Gavrilenko shot by founder, photographer and creative director Claire Hart. Arezü is an ode to simplicity.
“In rural India, silk butterflies emerge from their cocoons. Our farmers gather these to be hand-woven into peace silk by indigineous artisans. Though we create pieces for the modern woman, Arezü remembers older stories of traditional crafts, so that they can be told into the future.
Fashion is always collaboration and co-creation, the coming together of many hands to bring each garment to life. Arezü aspires to tell this truth and connect you with the people who make all of this possible. We celebrate the farmers who practice kinder ways of gathering silk fibres; the artisans who spin and weave them into fabric; and the tailors who stitch each piece into being.” - Claire Hart.
