Chasing Winter Sun
A message on a social media platform: “Let’s shoot!”
“Yeah, would love to!”
“Let’s get a HMUA and a model.”
Several weeks of planning, a little delay, and we finally get a model.
We get her coffee and a sandwich. She drinks the coffee, but leaves the sandwich.
We talk about everything and nothing.
She gets dressed and we walk around.
“This is a good spot!”
She stands in front of the lens!
The old tired camera goes “klaraghck,... klaraghck...”
“Are you gonna tell me what to do? Otherwise,
I’m gonna keep standing here!”
“Yeah, you’re good. That looks great!”
“We should find a red thing, a door, a car, something!”
“Oh yeah, I know one,
we just need to fold back it’s cover.”
Walking to the next location, we see a little bird taking a quick bath in a small water pond, right under the Sun, I wish I could show you.
We all get warm and distracted, birds in the water, birds in the sky, the muse laughing under the Sun... who wouldn’t?! Sounds like a love story, I know! But chasing the winter sun is like finding love on a cold winter day!
